One of Samford RDA’s newest and largest ‘recruits’, Hercules, has been generously sponsored by Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club.
Hercules joined our herd in August after working with clients at the former McIntyre Centre. His ‘gentle giant’ temperament and his experience with adults and children with a disability have made him an instant hit at his new home.
The annual sponsorship provided by Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club will help meet Hercules’ feed and care costs. Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club member, Robyn, recently visited our centre at Samford Showgrounds to personally meet Hercules and tour the facilities. She said she was not aware of the vital work of Samford RDA until a recent presentation to the Lions by President Rebecca Clemmey.
Thank you Lions for this wonderful support! And a big thanks to long-time supporter Samantha Wakerley of Pine Rivers NFP Accountant and NDIS Plan Management for her new sponsorship of RDA horse Clipper. Also a ‘big softie’ in the herd, Clipper is a great favourite with many of the young riders.
