Samford RDA is the beneficiary of a major classic car show to be held in Samford later this year.
The Riley Car Club of Queensland will host the event on Sunday October 4 at Samford Showgrounds in Highvale. It will be open to all classic cars and motorcycles, with proceeds helping to operate our centre and riding program at the showgrounds.
The Riley Car Club’s inaugural show last year attracted 230 vehicles and raised funds to assist the Samford Rural Fire Brigade. Given the strong interest and entries, the Club is confident that the 2026 event will be even bigger and better. It will open to the public from 9am until 2pm.
To date, six sponsors have thrown their support behind the show: Samford Garage, radio station 101.5FM, McGrath Real Estate, Samford Jewellers, Firecom Australia and Enthusiastic Motor Insurance.
Samford Valley is proving to be a popular destination for classic vehicle owners thanks to the area’s scenic roads and destinations, plus regular gatherings such as ‘Cars & Coffee’ in Samford Village.
President of Samford RDA, Michael Costello, thanked the Riley Car Club for their support: “We are very grateful to be selected to benefit financially from this year’s classic car show, which looks like being an amazing event. Proceeds from the show will go directly to meeting the increasing costs of feeding the RDA horses and running our program for the coming year.”
