It may be Autumn, but we are already making plans for a major Spring fundraising event. The Spring Fling Hoedown is an old-school family-focused bush dance planned for Saturday September 12. The evening will feature a bush band, line dancing, raffles and fun games held under cover at the Jenny O’Malley Arena at Samford Showgrounds from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. Samford RDA is the beneficiary of a major classic car show to be held in Samford later this year. The Riley Car Club of Queensland will host the event on Sunday October 4 at Samford Showgrounds in Highvale. It will be open to all classic cars and motorcycles, with proceeds helping to operate our centre and riding program at the showgrounds.
