The Rotary Club of Samford Valley is a long-time and valued sponsor of horses at the Samford RDA centre – and the new management team recently met its sponsored horse, Peter Pan.
Peter Pan is one of the most experienced horses in the RDA herd, and is much loved by his regular riders for his cheeky personality. The Rotarians’ annual sponsorship helps to meet the costs involved in feeding and caring for Peter Pan.
Led by Club President Paul Jackson, the visiting Rotarians (pictured) also viewed the RDA facilities at Samford Showgrounds and met RDA President Michael Costello for an overview of the RDA program and activities
Also attending was Bob Millar AOM, a long-term Rotarian and supporter of Samford RDA who is stepping back from commitments. Bob was a Division 11 Councillor and has always been a strong community advocate for many valuable not-for-profit organisations. He joined the group to make introductions and share stories about Samford RDA and the area. Bob's contribution to Samford RDA over the years is deeply appreciated
