RDA Program re-starts!

Our RDA program is re-starting following the easing of COVID-19 restrictions. All volunteers will be trained in COVID safe procedures, and strict protocols will be in place to ensure the safety of all participants.

During the enforced break, we were able to improve our centre facilities with the addition of new horse yards and fences within the covered mounting area. These upgrades were made possible through a $28,446 Moreton Bay Regional Council Community Infrastructure Revitalisation Grant, aimed at stimulating the local economy by engaging local contractors to complete infrastructure projects. Thank you Moreton Bay Regional Council- we greatly appreciate your financial support throughout the lockdown.

We also thank the State Government for the $2,000 grant provided under the COVID Safe Active Clubs Kickstart program. We used this funding to purchase personal protective equipment and sanitisation products to assist a safe return to RDA activities.

In addition, that State Government and Samford Community Bank Branch funded a defibrillator which is now mounted on the wall of our tack shed for all users of Samford Showgrounds in the event of a cardiac emergency.

Finally, we thank our wonderful sponsors for their financial contributions in recent months… The Samford Garage (Centre Sponsor) and Horse Sponsors, Rotary Club of Samford Valley Samford Leo Club and the State Member for Pine Rivers, Nikki Boyd MP . Sponsorships provide significant funding for the RDA program and help meet the cost of caring and feeding the RDA horses.
