Meeting Johnny

Our Federal Member and the Minister for Home Affairs, the Hon. Peter Dutton, paid a recent visit to the Samford RDA centre to meet his new sponsored horse, Johnny.

Johnny is a former pacer and an experienced RDA horse who has been a dependable

member of our herd for the past few years. Mr Dutton’s Platinum Sponsorship was

transferred to Johnny following Matty’s departure from the program.

We are very fortunate to have great support from all our elected representatives – and Mr

Dutton took time from his busy schedule to watch Johnny work with a young rider in the

final Samford RDA session for 2019.

Mr Dutton also generously donated a Christmas hamper as a lucky door prize for our

volunteers’ Christmas breakup party on December 7. Giaan (pictured) was the lucky

winner!
