Samford Community Bank has sponsored the latest addition to our herd, seven-year old
grey gelding, Paddington Bear.
The Platinum sponsorship is funded by a $1,500 grant from Pine Rivers Community Finance
Ltd, which owns and operates Bendigo Banks’ Brendale and Samford Community Banks. The
funding is greatly appreciated and it ensures that our long association with Samford
Community Bank will continue for another year.
The bank was one of our first corporate horse sponsors and Paddington Bear is its fourth
sponsored horse.
Following the grant announcement, we were pleased to receive a visit from Senior Branch
Manager, Mandy Bell and Customer Relations Manager, Jane Dunk. They met their special
horse and stayed to watch a RDA lesson.
Paddington Bear was recently purchased with generous funding from the Samford & District Progress & Protection Association – and while still learning how to be an RDA horse and
assist riders with a range of disabilities, he’s proving to be a strong, calm member of the
herd.
