Harry needs a sponsor

Our newest herd member, Harry (pictured), is looking for a sponsor.

Harry joined the herd in February after an extensive trial to ensure his suitability. He passed with flying colours and is now working in the RDA program providing riding-based therapies to support adults and children with a disability.

The former showring and show jumping horse takes everything in his stride – wind, noises, games on horseback, and volunteers walking close beside him to support his rider. He is affectionately referred to as ‘Harry Spotter’ because of his distinctive white ‘Birdcatcher spots’ along his sides.

Samford RDA relies on horse sponsorships to help meet the cost of horse feed and veterinary care. Apart from Harry, all our horses are currently sponsored by local representatives, community groups and businesses. We greatly appreciate the support of our Federal Member Peter Dutton, State Member Nikki Boyd, Cr Cath Tonks and Cr Darren Grimwade from Moreton Bay City Council, Golden Valley Keperra Lions Club, the Rotary Club of Samford Valley, Pine Rivers Community Finance Ltd, Airforce Pty Ltd and Pine Rivers NFP Accountant & NDIS Plan Management. Sponsorship benefits include saddlecloth logos, signage at the RDA centre, and invitations to key RDA functions and events.

While Harry is now officially part of the RDA herd, several other potential RDA horses are currently on trial. If successful, they also will be looking for sponsors to ensure they receive the very best of care. Any person, group or business interested in sponsoring a Samford RDA horse can contact admin@rdasamford.com.au.
