Champion Steer donation

Samford RDA recently received a donation “out of left field” from Nigel and Jane Onley of Tedlands Pastoral Company.

After winning Champion Steer at Taroom Show, Nigel and Jane followed Show Society tradition by auctioning the beast and donating half the proceeds to a charity of their choice. Despite being some 465km away, Samford RDA was selected – and benefited by a cheque for $1,050.

Taroom Show Society and the Prime Cattle Committee facilitated the auction, and auctioneer Luke Hopkins and Beef Cattle Steward Randall Ziesemer kindly donated their services.
