A special suporter visit

The horses at Samford RDA love to be visited by their supporters or sponsors, especially when carrots are involved!

This was the case recently when representatives from Pine Rivers Community Finance, visited Paddington Bear. Their long-running support of Paddington was renewed for another year, greatly assisting to meet the costs associated with his feed and care.

The local branch of Bendigo Bank, Community Bank Samford, was one of Samford RDA’s first corporate sponsors. The initiative led to other local businesses and organisations coming on board to sponsor or support an RDA horse, while Pine Rivers Community Finance continued its annual sponsorship year after year.

All RDA’s horses work full-time at the centre at Samford Showgrounds to support children and adults with a disability. Horse sponsorship or support is $1,900 a year and comes with a range of benefits.
