Vale Gordon Plenty

Writer: samfordrdasamfordrda

Here at Samford RDA, we are saddened to hear of the passing of Gordon Plenty of Clear Mountain.

Gordon has been a RDA Horse Sponsor for many years, and a great financial supporter of our work to improve our centre.

Gordon’s daughter, the late Jenny O’Malley, was a former treasurer and long-time committee member. Our main facility, the Jenny O’Malley Arena, was named in her memory.

Following Jenny’s passing, Gordon offered to sponsor an RDA horse and contribute to its feed and care. He sponsored several over the years, including his current horse, Promise. In addition, Gordon funded an annual rider award, a new kitchen, and signage for our covered arena.

Gordon’s generosity has been greatly appreciated, and all of us at Samford RDA offer our condolences to his family. He will be sorely missed.
